
L3 Apprenticeship in Dental Nursing
This framework provides an integrated programme of on and off the job learning to achieve the Dental Nursing L3 Apprenticeship. Apprentices will work in a Dental Practice as an Trainee Dental Nurse and attend weekly day release at college. Taught subjects include Infection Control, Dental Radiography, Assessment of oral health & treatment planning, principles in the management of oral health diseases and dental procedures. Work-based assessments take place with a college assessor, who mentors and guides the learner, providing meaningful feedback on their practice and enabling them to develop within their role. Also L3 Principles and Theory of Dental Nursing exam will be sat. The framework includes essential skills including Maths, English and all at level 2, in addition to a Employment Rights and Responsibilities Award.
