What are Apprenticeships?
Apprenticeships are designed to meet your needs as an employer through vocational training. It is a combination of on-the-job training and qualifications that are current and relevant to your industry.

Who can do an Apprenticeship?
Both new and existing employees can do an apprenticeship. Apprenticeships are a fantastic option for thoses aged 16-24 who would like to take their qualifications linked to the workplace. Anyone over the age of 24 who wishes to do an apprenticeship at Level 3 or above will need to take out a student loan or fund the training themselves. There are a range of Apprenticeship levels to suit your organisation and level of skills required.
How are Apprenticeships funded?
Apprentices aged 16-18 yrs: Government will fund the full cost of the training
Apprentices aged19 yrs -24 yrs: Government will pay up to 50% of the cost of the training
Apprentices aged 25yrs and over: contribution will be dependent on the sector
How will an Apprenticeship benefit my organisation?

How can I get an Apprentice?
Chichester College will help you to find the best match for your organisation, and it doesn’t stop there. We will continue to support you and your Apprentice throughout the Apprenticeship including: taking care of the paper work; arranging appropriate funding; and providing advice and support. You will be assigned an Apprenticeship Liaison Officer who will be on hand to guide you through the process. We can also offer an alternative route to employing an apprentice through our Apprentice Training Agency.

Apprentice Training Agency
In addition to our apprentice recruitment, matching and training services we can also offer an alternative route to employing an apprentice through our Apprentice Training Agency. We work in partnership with Apprentices for Business who, like a recruitment agency, will become the legal employer of your apprentice, managing the payroll and HR functions for you.
