Full-time students between 16 and 19 come from all over Sussex and Hampshire.  The last time we counted there were students from 151 schools who come to Chichester College.  The majority of students are from the West Sussex area but some students choose to come a long way to study here, for example:

  • a Dance student who travelled from the New Forest every day
  • a Furniture Maker who comes from the Isle of Wight
  • an A level student who comes from Brighton

Students who are between 14 and 16 tend to come from West Sussex, but again you'll meet lots of new people, as there are over 50 schools in the county.

You won't just meet English students at Chichester College, you'll quickly notice that we have students from all over the world (last year there were 100 nationalities on campus).  Many international students come to study English, but around half of them come to take academic and vocational qualifications here.  Many do this because they want to go on to british universities and some do it because they want to improve their career opportunities in their home country.  So you could find yourself studying alongside a Hong Kong student in an A-level Maths class or a Japanese student on a Beauty course.
