Technology for Learning

Here at Chichester College the majority of our classrooms have interactive whiteboards.  These enable lecturers not only to write notes for the class but to use all types of new media, for example to show documentary footage, run interactive quizzes and explore the Internet.  Depending on the area the right technology is available, for example: Graphic Designers use Apple Macs, Music Technology students have up to date recording studio equipment and the Motor Cycle students now have a computerised rolling road.

The College is also involved in a project which involves the use of different technology to help students and in 2008 we tried out small laptops, Sony PSPs and video head cameras with students in Hair and Beauty, Care and Motor Vehicle.
A brilliant example of this can be seen at the LSN/Molenet website, where Chichester College students have been filmed using this technology.

More projects are planned to ensure we keep offering our students technology that will help them succeed.
