Chichester College staff are an extremely professional group of people. All of our lecturers are qualified teachers and those in vocational areas have relevant industry and vocational experience as well.
You could be taught by a Chartered Geographer or someone who has just finished flying as cabin crew with one of the well known airlines or beauty by an ex-salon owner or plumbing by someone with years of experience under his belt. Whichever area you choose there will be lecturers who are not only expert teachers but who know about the real world as well.
Our teaching team have years of lecturing experience and whatever level you want to study at we have staff who are able to work with you, to help you succeed. The quality of their teaching has been recognised in many ways for example:
Sandy Hood, a lecturer in Business and Management was named as "Teacher of the Year" in the Chichester Observer's 2008 Community Awards. Sandy is respected in the College for his ability to teach both high level accountancy courses and Level 3 business and make it interesting for all his students. He is also well known in the College community for his ability to spread his own brand of warmth and happiness.
In 2007 a team of Art, Design and Media lecturers won a Beacon Award for their commitment to Lifelong Learning. The team designed an innovative programme of teaching and learning to deliver a wide range of disciplines, including photography, print, graphics, 2 and 3D, video and film-making.
